i am blessed to have two hawthorn trees in my yard they also grow all along the tobacco river, near my home. when the flowers bloom, in late may i tincture fresh flowers, leaves, and thorns in 100 proof food grade alcohol. the berries i collect in late august, and also tinctured fresh. they infused for months. i strained them both at the same time, and mixed them together, for a lovely heart tonic. hawthorn works best when taken on a regular basis, up to three dropperfuls a day. hawthorn for the aging heart. comes in a 2-oz dropper bottle.
